Fun with our Friends!

My hubby and me!
Casey and Lee
Matt and Ambrah
A few days before Christmas, we had a fun night out with our friends.......a new tradition!! We went to The Melting Pot and had the best dinner and of course with Matt and Josh there the best entertainment! Thanks for a fun night, can't wait to get our dinners up and going again!

Thankfully we were still able to go......about 45 minutes before we were supposed to leave Delanie came down with the stomach flu! Yes again! Josh's Mom and Dad came to the rescue and still came over to keep Delanie. (Thank you Jer and Di, you are the best!)
This is our second round of the stomach flu, have I mentioned how much I hate vomit?? Who does?
We are out of town right now and on the way, I got the flu again (most likely from Delanie)...........that night Josh got it...........last night my Dad had it...............and....right now Josh has taken my Aunt to the hospital because she has it! Can you believe it? My Aunt has had a previous surgery and she cannot get physically sick so Josh took her to get a shot!
It has been quite a fun trip, if you can imagine! I have cleaned and cleaned and we are spraying Lysol like crazy!!

I will post some Christmas pics when we get home! The camera is in the room where Delanie is sleeping! I am sure it will keep you on your toes waiting for the pics......
More to come...

Christmas Card Pics

A couple of weeks ago, we attempted to get some picture of Delanie and Cody (our dog) in front of our Christmas tree. It was quite entertaining and quite a task, but a few turned out pretty cute! We ended up using a couple of them on our Christmas cards, which some of you will get, but for anyone else interested, hope you enjoyed!

We are in the midst of another round of Delanie coughing, it began Tuesday night with a runny nose and by Thursday it was a full blown nasty sounding cough! After spending some time calling back and forth with the Dr.'s office, we finally went yesterday and they gave us a breathing machine (like an inhaler for babies)....which we put albuterol in. We are to use it every 4 hours as needed. So far, we have used it twice and it seems to help a little! Thankfully she is not running a fever and is overall her normal self! Pray that she gets over this quick so we are all well during Christmas!

That is all for now.......

Delanie's 1st Haircut!!!!!

Delanie, before.....notice the hands in the mouth
she has been cutting 2 teeth the past 2 weeks!! Fun, Fun!
D sat on my lap, she did not want to sit by herself,
she is a Momma's girl!!
Look at my new bangs!!!
One more snip on top and we're done!!

All done! I'll have to post another close up later.
The girls at the salon took the pics, so thanks so much!
Also, my Mom came and video taped the whole thing!!
Thanks Mom!!

Delanie had her first haircut yesterday!! I really struggled with having her hair cut, but it was time! Due to the cold weather, and the need to wear hoods and hats, we decided that Delanie's hair was hanging in her face too much! I go to a great salon in Independence called "Blondie's" it is just down from Tim's pizza on 40 highway! (little plug for my girls at Blondie's!) Jennie has been doing my hair for years, so we made Delanie's appointment with her!
Delanie did great and has a cute new look!!

By the way, Delanie will be 15 months old tomorrow, it seems almost unreal!!
The next bit of information may bore you, but I am including it all so that we don't forget this phase of her life!

Here are some things that she does now......
Delanie weighs about 25 lbs.......yes she likes to eat! :)
Delanie talks all the time, she says....... Momma, Daddy, D for Cody, Nana, Papaw, Di Di, Papaw, more, cracker, cookie, ball, again, bath, bubble, apple, banana, baby, tree, feet, eyes, Hi, Bye Bye, Book (sounds more like read with a b), movie, snow, snowman (that one is hilarious, and recently this week she says "lu jah" for Hallelujah! She does a pretty good job at saying......Jenny, Nate, bubby for all the kids, Shelley , Jamie, Lee, Casey (Tatsey), Matt, Ambrah....(bambah)
I am sure I am missing something because the girl likes to talk and will attempt to say anything.... she continues to amaze us daily!

Delanie loves to play with her toys in our hearth room.... most recently her new nativity set (thanks Mr. Lee and Miss Casey) She also loves to read books, if you start reading you had better plan on about 10 to 15 minutes! She also loves going "down" which is downstairs! Delanie and Daddy wrestle and she also has some riding toys that she asks us to push her around!
Delanie also loves playing with her cousins....Payton, Cade, and Mason! (Payton is so good with her, just like a little Mommy)
Most of all, she is crazy about her Nana Debbie and Grandma Di Di (Dianna)

As I said earlier, Delanie loves to eat and so far it is a good eater..........food that she likes include:
bananas, apples, blueberries, peaches, pears, grapes, yogurt, applesauce, turkey, ham, cheese, Gerber ravioli, spaghetti, peas, carrots, green beans (sometimes), chicken nuggets, french fries, oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, eggs, toast, grilled cheese, puffs, crackers, cookies (Gerber!), hot dogs (in small pieces of course), and the list can go on because we have her try most things that we cook here at home!

Delanie is so much fun and keeps us laughing all of the time! She makes the funniest faces and does the funniest things!

That is all for now.....

Christmas In the Park

Josh and Lee trying to figure out where to go!

Pics by Lee......great job!!
Since Josh was driving, I handed the camera to Lee
and he took his time to take perfect pics!

The girls in the back!

On Sunday evening our friends Lee and Casey went with us to Christmas in the Park! It was so neat, Delanie loved the lights, but most of all she loved when Miss Casey sang the Itsy Bitsy Spider over and over and over!!
We (the girls) sang Carols in the truck to keep Delanie happy while Josh and Lee figured out where we were going. It was my idea and I did not even check to see the exact location! Ooops!!
What a fun night and new tradition, it will have to happen year after year!

Get well Papaw!!

If you can read the sign Cody is wearing...
it says......
Get well soon Papaw, we love You!!!

We have many reasons to be thankful, but this week, thankful has taken on new meaning!
Wednesday morning Josh's Dad, Jerry, had a massive heart attack. Praise the Lord, he got to the hospital in time to have a successful stint procedure. We know that our Father, the Great Physician was by his side protecting his body. Thank you Lord for taking care of our Dad!! Jerry has spent a couple of days in ICU and today will be transferred to a room. Pray for him to have a quick recovery and to regain his strength and energy....also pray for my Mother-in-law, Dianna, as she is wearing down from spending time at the hospital. I have been praying for her time to be stretched so that she can get her work done and for her energy and endurance! Thank you for lifting up our family! May the Lord receive all of the Glory!

On Thanksgiving Day we headed up the street to Jenny and Nate's house for lunch with the family! Delanie had so much fun playing with the kids! The food was very yummy too!
