Messy Madness

Washing the baby!

Do you think she is having fun? Last night we took D to Messy Madness! Since Delanie is still putting things in her mouth we avoided painting and playing in the dirt....but hit all of the other activities!

Up on the right is when she was playing with shaving cream, she just squealed with delight!

Delanie is getting so big, I don't have a picture of her new potty, but she has actually gone "pee pee" twice! It is quite hilarious! She has been a little scared both times, but she gets some marshmellows....aka "mellows" when she goes! We're not rushing anything, but she is certainly showing some interest!
That is all for now!

More to come later......

Long Time, No Post!

Delanie feeding her cabbage patch baby! In the hallway at that!
This is one of Delanie's favorite things to do.....dust mop the floor! Ha! We train them early around here!

Wow, I am just now realizing just how long it has been since I have posted anything! We have been busy around here and are really wishing for nice Spring weather!

I will add another post with pics from the Parents As Teacher's event called Messy Madness! It was last night and D had a blast!

Daddy's Girl!

Delanie picking up rocks!!
Sweet pic of Josh and his sweet baby girl!

A few weeks ago, when we had our unseasonably warm weekend, Josh took Delanie outside to walk around the yard! They are going to have so much fun this summer!

On a side note; do you notice the four-wheeler in the top photo.....we have kids that ride these along with scooters and dirt bikes in our neighborhood! As soon as the weather gets nice, they will be all over again. They are so so loud and not to mention it is so dangerous! Ok, I am done complaining! Just had to get my thoughts out there....

This was outside last weekend......isn't her face the sweetest!!!
Yummy yogurt......
Big girl, eating yogurt all by herself! She is very independent, but it can be messy!

Another Rock Band Birthday!

We've got a singer.......
Look closely, that is my Mom playing the guitar, she and Dad were playing together!! They did great and we had so much fun!!
Jamie and Dad on the guitar and bass.....yep that is my Daddy! He did a great job.....and in the right corner, check out he drummer.....he is pretty awesome!
Jamie on vocals, Josh and Lee on the guitar and bass, and me on the drums
Miss Casey and little D.....

Last Saturday we had a birthday dinner for Josh and then headed to our house to play the wii.....our friends Lee and Casey brought theirs and all of the accessories! I also made a new dessert
Nutter Butter Banana Pudding Trifle..........

Josh's Birthday......

Delanie signed Daddy's Birthday Card!
Last week and weekend we celebrated Josh's Birthday! I attempted to be crafty and make Josh something to take to his office! I used a glass block like those that are used in windows and showers! I thought it was a great idea! I painted Delanie's hand and we put it on the block, then I had to bake it for 30 minutes.....for the paint to dry! I then used a specific glass glue to put down the picture and of course a good ole sharpie marker! I then added this stuff called "Pour On" to seal it all together! Well, it still has not dried and it has now been over a week! So, I think I am going to have to start over and just to the hand print! Oh well, it was the thought that counted....right!

Weekend in a flash!

Early Friday morning we got the news that my sweet Aunt Brenda had passed away! She was only 60 years old and her death was very sudden. Even though we were relieved that she was safe in the arms of Jesus, our hearts ached knowing we will not see her for a while! After some quick planning, Dad booked our flights and we headed out Sunday morning! Dad, Mom, Delanie, and I left my house at 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning to catch our 8:30 flight...........I was so nervous because it was Delanie's first flight! Much to our dismay, Delanie was so good on the plane.........DVD players are an amazing invention! She had lots of Cheerios and watched 2 Baby Einstein movies.....her favorite! Luckily, it was a short flight.......1 hour and 25 minutes!!
Being in Dallas for literally 30 hours was quite a whirl wind, but Delanie was a trooper!! I am so thankful that we were able to be there a see my family!
We were able to take an early flight back and landed in KC around 6:00 last night! Other than the fact that Delanie threw up on the flight home, the weekend was great! We think she was hot and the pressure in her ears got to her, because once she got sick she was fine.........thank you Jesus!!
My poor Mom was holding her and I caught it in my hands........all as we were landing.....are you following me?
Pray for my family in Texas, they have a long road of grieving ahead..........

ps, I do not have any pictures because I did not take the camera, I could not carry one more thing!!
